Repurposed wooden urns

Here are some lovely wooden urns, designed by the amazing Bryan Appleton. Bryan builds unique, one-of-a-kind pieces from reclaimed wood. Most of his materials are salvaged from Bay Area/SF Victorian houses - from wainscotting to mantels. He also adds hardware details from vintage furniture and other rare flea market finds.

These antique wood urns are lined with cedar, and will fit most plastic urn cases (9"x3.5"x6") but they can also be ordered to fit any size. Please take a look!

Box #1 features a Victorian cast-iron owl that was originally a plant hanger/bird cage holder.
Box #2, made with beadboard wainscoting from a classic Victorian house. The handle is from an 19thc dresser.

Box #3 features exterior scalloped siding and Victorian door trim. The pull is ebonized brass from antique dresser. This box will accommodate larger urns (11"x7" 4.5")
Victorian oak mantel is repurposed for the sides of box #3.
Inside box #3, lined with cedar.

Box #2, hanging out with one of Ann Wood's hand-sewn owls.

Another view of box #1. I hope to show how these urns can fit in within our homes without screaming "URN". These boxes are lovingly handcrafted, unique, and will fit in with nearly any decor.

By the way, it's been a long time since I've posted. But The Modern Mourner is very close to my heart. It's all about making death beautiful again. Wishing everyone a lovely day!
